Con varios campos de golf y complejos a poca distancia, el pueblo tiene mucho que ofrecer, gasolinera, farmacia, médicos, oficina de correos, tiendas de ropa, floristerías, bazares y supermercados, así como el mercado semanal los jueves y estación de tren.
En cuanto a ubicación y conexiones de transporte, la localidad se sitúa a tan solo 15 minutos de las fabulosas playas del Mar Menor, a tan solo 15 minutos del aeropuerto de Corvera (Murcia) y también el hecho de que tiene su propia estación de tren, con enlaces a Cartagena al Sur, o Murcia, Alicante, Elche y línea directa a Madrid. El aeropuerto de Corvera está a sólo 15 minutos en coche y Alicante a 1 hora. La ciudad está rodeada de naranjos y limoneros, otras frutas y verduras de temporada y algunos fabulosos campos de golf, combinado con el sol glorioso, las vistas del Mar Menor por un lado y las montañas por el otro, es el destino perfecto.

Sierra Golf Course is as popular course and many PGA professionals including Paul Carpenter (of the Paul Carpenter academy, Balsicas) attend with their students regularly.

The popular 9 hole Golf Course is very reasonably priced with a round priced from just 20 euros. There is also a 20 bay driving range or practice your short game from grass and sand in the specially designed approach area and putting green. There are changing rooms, buggy and trolly hire are also available as well as tuition with the Golf Academy.

There is an onsite Pro Shop and Bar/Cafeteria at Sierra Golf offering customers breakfast, tapas, baguettes and a variety of local dishes, to eat in or during your round of Golf. They have a spacious outdoor terrace with beautiful views across Mar Manor for that relaxing post-match refreshment! There are a further two bars on the residential development, one of which has a communal pool which is the perfect place to relax with family and friends!

Located in one of the healthiest places in Europe to live, Murcia still retains its traditional charm as ‘Europe’s vegetable garden’. It enjoys over 320 days on average of sunshine per year!

As for location and transport links, the town is situated just 15 minutes from the fabulous beaches of the Mar Menor, only 15 minutes from Corvera (Murcia) airport and is also unusual in the fact it has its own train station, with links to Cartagena (plus others) in the South, or Murcia, Alicante, Elche and a direct line to Madrid.
